Physical Examination training for practitioners - Katie Barron

Hi,I’m Katie…

Firstly, just to reassure you—I promise I’m NOT nude in this lovely photo with my gorgeous family!

Now, a bit about why I’m here:

I'm deeply passionate about health, and especially women's health. With over a decade of clinical experience as a degree-qualified naturopath, lecturer, and practitioner mentor, I've dedicated my professional life to helping women reclaim their vitality.

My approach is holistic and deeply personalised. I'm fascinated by people—how our physical bodies are intricately connected to our emotional experiences, environments, and decisions. I uniquely blend science and spirituality, integrating evidence-based herbal and nutritional medicine, dietary analysis, and mindset support. My goal is always to help you achieve balanced hormones, stable moods, improved energy, and a deeper understanding of your health.

Whether you're navigating hormonal chaos, stress, fatigue, sleep disturbances, PMS, PMDD, or perimenopause—I'm here to support and empower you.

Quick snapshot of my journey:

  • Founded my naturopathic clinic and simultaneously lectured in physical examination for several years (I loved every minute!)

  • Created the practitioner training program 'Let's Get Physical' to empower clinicians in confidently assessing clients

  • Lectured at Southern Cross University (2023) and continue supporting future practitioners

  • Relaunching my online clinic in 2024 after an exciting year of lecturing and family adventures

And just to clarify—I promise I am fully clothed in all family photos!

Let's have meaningful conversations that support your health journey. If you're ready to dive deeper, I'd love to hear from you.

(Oh, and yes, more than happy to chat about my 2022 family adventure travelling around Australia... fully clothed!)

What I know to be true…

When you perform the physical exams, you gather info to guide treatment planning, identify red flags and create a bond with your patients that will see them return, comply with your protocol and be a raving fan!

On a serious note, I know that identifying red flags in our clinics can save lives.

Covid has changed the way we practise - but physical examination is not dead. It’s a beautiful art that will emerge, and those who are able to integrate it into their clinic will reap the benefits of the beautiful rapport that grows between you and your client - when this happens, they open up and you are able to gather more info important to their case.

I am passionate about this work - I get a buzz out of hearing your ‘wins’, both with gathering important info, identifying red flags, and when you feel that the rapport has been established.

I can’t wait to share these important clinical tools with you so that you can go into your practice and help the people you are meant to.

I’m so passionate about fellow natural health practitioners

Helping you feel confident in your clinical practice leads to better client outcomes, thriving businesses and a rising industry.

With a passion for physical examination, I believe that this gives us valuable insights into the patient presentation, builds rapport with the client, and opens doors to cross referrals with other modalities.

The world needs what natural health practitioners have to offer more than ever.

We can make a difference in people’s lives.
